Hanna's Favorite Things 2020

2020 prompted lots of emotion in and from me, one of them being gratitude. Here's my top 10 list of things I am grateful for this year.

10. Twitter- Helped me use my voice in a year where I needed to get some things off my chest. 9. Zoom Meetings- Provided meaningful connections and proved there are other ways to connect. 8. The Civil Rights Movement- Gave me a clearer view of the past and helped me makes sense of the present. 7. Emergency Recovery Planning - Kept me tethered to reality and hopeful for the future. 6. #StayAtHome Orders- Allowed me to redeem the time, because the days are evil. 5. #Election2020 - Prepared for the process and grateful for the results. (well most of them). 4. June- Provided enough pressure to show what I am at my best and my worst. Incredibly grateful that God is with me through it all. 3. Home- Shaken with the loss of my Dad in January, I'm grateful now to be able to see home as a concrete place and a fluid idea. 2. Faith+Works - The instances of racial violence this spring left me disillusioned on the side of the road. Grateful my sisters Patrice Wedderburn , Jodi Ash , and Stephanie Municchi scooped me up and took me along for the ride. Looking forward to more to come. #FaithThatWorksDC 1.Hope- because hope does not put us to shame. Romans 5:1-5 ... but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, 4 and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, 5 and hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts ...
